The Work Principle of Rotary Drum Screen
The rotary drum screen is a device that uses a rotating screen to separate materials. Its working principle is based on the size and shape differences of the materials. It is mainly composed of a motor, a reducer, a drum device, a frame, a sealing cover, an inlet and outlet, etc.
During operation, the material enters the drum device from the feed port, and due to the tilting and rotation of the drum, the material continuously flips and rolls on the screen surface. Smaller materials fall into the collection device at the bottom of the drum through the screen holes, while larger materials are left on the screen and eventually discharged from the discharge port at the tail of the drum.
The characteristics of the drum screen include:
High sorting accuracy: By adjusting the size of the screen holes and the speed of the drum, accurate separation of materials of different particle sizes can be achieved.
Smooth operation: The design of the drum makes it very stable and low noise during operation.
Simple structure: The equipment has a compact structure and is easy to maintain and clean.
High screening efficiency: It uses a special screen and has a long service life.
Drum screens are widely used in sand and gravel fields, coal industry, chemical industry, etc. for the classification and separation of materials
