How to Install an Internally Fed Rotary Drum Screen

1. Pre-Installation Preparation
Before beginning the installation, organize the installation team to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the equipment's structure, function, and operational features. It is crucial that all personnel review and understand the technical documentation, including drawings, manuals, and specifications, to ensure a smooth and accurate installation process.
2. Equipment Inspection
Carefully inspect the equipment upon delivery to check for any visible defects or damage that may have occurred during transportation. Verify that all components are present and in good condition. Any issues should be reported and addressed before proceeding with installation.
3. Foundation Preparation
Construct the foundation in accordance with the basic structure drawing provided by JX Filtration. Ensure that the foundation surface is flat and level. The spacing of reserved holes and vertical deviation must be within 10 mm to accommodate the equipment accurately. Allow the foundation to fully cure before proceeding with equipment placement.
4. Foundation Cleaning and Bolt Placement
Once the foundation has cured, clean the foundation surface and the spiral holes thoroughly to remove any debris or dust. The bottom corner bolts should be cleaned with gasoline to remove any oil or contaminants. Apply oil to the threaded parts to prevent corrosion and ease future adjustments. Insert the bolts into the corresponding bolt holes on the equipment.
5. Equipment Lifting and Positioning
Attach lifting hooks to the lifting lugs located on the top of the equipment. Lift the entire machine horizontally and carefully position it above the foundation. Ensure that the main shaft is horizontal and that the whole machine is aligned on the same plane. Slowly move the equipment horizontally and lower it into the designated position.
Once positioned, seal the inlet and outlet connections using flanges with rubber mats, and connect the corresponding pipes. The cleaning water inlet should also be properly sealed to the equipment. After placement, carefully check that all components are securely connected and that no parts are loose.
6. Final Alignment and Calibration
Perform a final calibration of the machine to ensure precise alignment. Measure the frame level using a precision instrument with an accuracy of 0.05 mm/m. The horizontality of the device should be measured based on the frame and must not exceed 0.5 mm/m. Proper alignment is critical to prevent operational issues and ensure the equipment runs smoothly.
By following these installation steps carefully, you can ensure that your Internally Fed Rotary Drum Screen is set up correctly and ready for reliable operation. For further assistance, consult the equipment manual or contact the JX Filtration's technical support team.
